Sharjah sometimes gets disregarded in terms of things to do, this is probably because of the rush hour car park that thousands endure each day. But, the reality is, Sharjah borders Dubai. Yes, with just one step you can be in Sharjah if you are in Dubai 🙂

If you fancy something slightly different you can visit Al Qasba. It’s on the Dubai side of Sharjah, sits on the water, and offers a very pleasant experience. It’s not the UAEs best family destination, although there is the Eye of the Emirates Ferris wheel and a fairground area of sorts.

Al Qasba shines when you have a babysitter, or your parents are in town. You can park quite easily, choose from multiple types of cuisine, and then stroll leisurely across the bridges as the night lights twinkle on the water. Al Qasba is rarely empty, but still manages to offer a pleasant and peaceful alternative to big city hustle and bustle.
